Kona is not a newcomer to Gravel and Adventure racing bikes but is launching a carbon Graveller in the form of the Libre DL for the first time in 2019. In spite of the fine material, Kona was not too sorry to drill some fixing points for the next bikepacking tour.
The Libre DL adapts completely to your preferences: A total of 9 holes for bags and bottle holders are available, a prepared internal cable routing for front derailleurs and Dropper Post are also available. The tires are 45mm at 28 inches, 2.1″ at 650B. The Libre will also be available in an aluminum version (then without the DL).
The Libre was designed to be equally capable on the pavement, gravel roads, and trails. Versatility first is what Kona was thinking with this new model. The guys at Kona tried to achieve that by combining characteristics from their Sutra and Rove models. The Libre’s carbon frame and fork make the bike light and fast. The Libres interchangeable wheel platform with generous clearances allows you to swap out wheels and tires for any surface.
The carbon Libre DL has clearance for 29 x 2.0″, 700c x 45mm and 650b x 2.1″ tires.
